In Amarpur, Banka, the dead body of 65-year-old Bharat Tanti was lying in the house for three days, which was reported to the neighbors when they noticed a foul smell. After the death of his wife and son, he lived alone. Due to financial constraints the relatives were hesitant in performing the last rites. Social worker Ramkumar Gore and ward councilors collected financial help with the help of local people, so that he could get a respectable funeral. This incident raises concerns over the safety of the elderly.
