Himachal High Court: Mayor's Tenure Extended By Bringing Ordinance For A Particular Person, Got Additional Time After Petitioner's Allegations

The hearing on the petition in Shimla High Court against increasing the tenure of the Mayor to five years was adjourned till December 30. The government introduced the ordinance passed in the Assembly, which the petitioner challenged, without the approval of the Governor. The court gave time to the defendants to reply and fixed the next hearing on December 30. In the petition, the government is accused of bringing the ordinance to benefit a particular person.

Revised Exam Result Of Himachal Police Constable Recruitment Released, What Changes Were Made? 43 Posts Remain Vacant

Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission has released the revised examination result of Police Constable Recruitment as per the order of the High Court. 369 posts of constable women have been filled for specialized duty in the police department, while 676 posts have been filled in the men category. Due to non-availability of eligible candidates in some categories, 43 posts remain vacant. The Commission has released the list of selected candidates.
