Delhi Has The Highest Number Of Air Quality Monitoring Centers, Yet The Correct Picture Is Not Available.
Despite having 46 air quality monitoring centers in Delhi, the true picture of pollution does not emerge. The CSE report points out that most of the centers are located in green areas or institutions, which shows the actual AQI to be low. 85% of India's population does not have real-time monitoring facilities, leading to huge disparity in data. The report suggests adopting a 'hybrid network design', incorporating satellite data and low-cost sensors, to create effective policies.
