Third party appraisal has been made mandatory for all projects in Uttarakhand. Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan directed to create a strong mechanism to ensure transparency and quality. The Irrigation Department was given the target of doubling the irrigated area and the Drinking Water Department was given the target of zero carbon emissions. Emphasis was also laid on installing water meters in government colonies in Dehradun and making Tehri an international destination.
