In Shahjahanpur, after 11 years, a couple has been sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of their landlady's 13-year-old daughter. Following a dispute in 2013, the tenants had strangled the girl to take revenge. Initially it was considered suicide, but the post mortem report revealed murder. Convicts Dinesh and Rachna Mishra have also been imposed a fine of Rs 1 lakh each.

Illegal Mining Was Going On In CO Residence In Chandausi, SDM Caught A Dumper And Tractor-trolley.

Illegal mining in the name of CO residence has been busted in Chandausi area of Sambhal. SDM and Naib Tehsildar raided Mohammadpur Kasba village of Narauli and seized a dumper and tractor-trolley. Mining permission was taken to fill the soil for the CO's under-construction house, but illegal mining was being done elsewhere. The seized vehicles have been handed over to the police and action is being taken to cancel the permission by informing the Mining Inspector.
