Union Budget 2026: Bihar Needs More Loan; Asked For Permission From The Centre, Understand The Complete Mathematics

Bihar Finance Minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav sought additional financial assistance for the state in pre-budget discussions with Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. He appealed for permission to take loan up to 5 times the Gross State Domestic Product (GDP), share in cess and surcharge, and special flood relief package. Bihar government is expecting more funds from the Center for welfare schemes and maintaining the growth rate.
