In Dahina of Rewari, the administration removed years old illegal encroachment from the Panchayat land at Holi Chowk of Dhani Thetharbarh village. A joint team of duty magistrate and police took action, which was protested by the occupants but the situation was kept under control due to the presence of police. This encroachment was hindering public movement and worship, against which many complaints were received. The action was completed peacefully.

Municipal Corporation Gurugram has taken strict action against polluters in January. Various teams issued 705 challans and collected a fine of Rs 9.26 lakh. Action was taken against open burning, throwing garbage and violation of construction rules. To control dust, roads are being sprayed with water and cleaned with machines at night. The Commissioner described air pollution control as the top priority.

In the case of rape of minor sisters in Sirsa, the police has arrested an accused Bunty alias Chandrabhan and sent him to judicial custody. During interrogation, the accused confessed to being in contact with the girls for a year and luring them and raping them. The second accused is still absconding, the search for whom is going on. This case was registered on January 6 under the POCSO Act.

Bhiwani: Speeding Thar Crushed Youths Returning From Fields, Two Killed And Two Injured

A speeding Thar vehicle wreaked havoc on Isharwal-Siwani road near Devwas village of Tosham. A bike rider and four youths walking returning from the fields were hit by a Thar. Ishwar Singh and Nardeep died in this accident, while Anil and Sanjay were seriously injured. Police have registered a case against the absconding Thar driver and started investigation.

Rahul Dhiman, 25, resident of Kalayat, died tragically in a road accident on the Chandigarh-Hisar National Highway. The marriage took place only last month and he was preparing to bring his wife from her maternal home. The driver absconded in this accident which occurred due to a collision with a speeding vehicle. Due to lack of timely help, Rahul died on the spot. Police have registered the case and started investigation.

Seven Lakh Rupees Were Demanded As Bribe In Exchange Of GST Number, Two Officials Of Excise And Taxation Department Were Jailed For Five Years Each.

Gurugram Court has convicted two Excise and Taxation Department officials, Roshanlal and Sumitra Godara, for demanding a bribe of Rs 7 lakh in exchange for GST number. They were sentenced to five years' imprisonment each and a fine of Rs 2 lakh each. This case was registered by the Anti Corruption Bureau in 2022 on the complaint of a businessman, after which both were arrested.

Ambala: A Speeding Vehicle Collided On The National Highway, A Young Man Died Painfully.

Narayangarh police has registered a case over the death of a person in a road accident. Sanjeev Kumar told that while returning from Sonipat, the tire of his car got punctured on Saha-Panchkula National Highway. His brother-in-law Kuldeep, who was standing on the road to pick up a jack, was hit by a speeding car. Seriously injured Kuldeep was referred to Panchkula, where doctors declared him brought dead. Police is investigating.
