Vehicles Will Beep In Case Of Accident, Proposal To Install On-board Unit

There are preparations to implement wireless technology V2V in vehicles in Bihar to reduce road accidents. This technology will alert the driver by sounding a beep in case of uncontrolled driving or sudden braking in front of the vehicle. This will also provide information about the speed and direction of nearby vehicles. It will be made mandatory in new cars, buses and trucks by the end of this year, as agreed at a meeting of transport ministers in Delhi.
