Changed Route Of Many Trains Including Darbhanga-New Delhi Express, Passengers Will Be Affected

Due to the commissioning work of automatic signaling on Gorakhpur-Gonda railway section, there will be non-interlocking work on 23rd and 24th January. This will affect the operation of many trains. Some trains will run on diverted routes, some have been controlled or rescheduled, while the temporary halt of some trains at Babhnan and Swami Narayan Chhapia stations has been cancelled. Passengers have been advised to check the status of their train before travelling.

A 60-year-old woman died after falling from the fifth floor while entering the lift at Vijay Inclave Apartment in Muzaffarpur. Police registered a case and started investigation, which revealed technical fault and poor maintenance in the lift. CCTV footage showed that the door was open but there was no lift cabin, due to which the woman fell straight down. The police have also held the society committee responsible.
