'Delhi Model For Healthy Liver' Launched In The National Capital, Will Help In Dealing With Diseases

'Delhi Model for Healthy Liver' and 'Liver Gyan' helpline have been started in the national capital to deal with liver related diseases. Delhi Health Minister Dr. Pankaj Singh launched them on the 16th foundation day of ILBS. This model aims to improve prevention, awareness, screening and lifestyle of diseases like fatty liver. ILBS treated 1.60 lakh patients and performed 162 liver transplants last year.

It Is The Duty Of The Government To Provide Accommodation At Night, Due To Lack Of Resources The Government Cannot Shy Away From The Responsibility: High Court

Delhi High Court raised questions on the Delhi government and agencies for not providing shelter to the patients and attendants sleeping outside the hospitals in the harsh cold. The court directed DUSIB to immediately make night shelters and set up tents in the subways near the hospitals. The court said that the right to shelter is fundamental and the government cannot make the excuse of lack of resources. A meeting was also directed to formulate a short-term plan under the chairmanship of the Principal District Judge of the Southern District.

Kashmiri Separatist Asiya Andrabi Found Guilty In UAPA Case, Decision On Punishment On January 17; Could Be Life Imprisonment

Kashmiri separatist Asiya Andrabi has been convicted by Rouse Avenue Court in the UAPA case. Dukhtaran-e-Millat chief Andrabi, Sophie Fahmida and Nahida Nasreen were found guilty under sections 18 and 38. The court will pronounce the sentence on January 17, which may also include life imprisonment. He was accused of separating Jammu and Kashmir from India and promoting anti-India activities.

Delhi Groundwater Levels: Ground Water Level Increased In Lutyens Delhi, Now Borewells Will Be Started Again

According to the Central Ground Water Board report, a rise in groundwater level has been recorded in Lutyens' Delhi. Fire In Pitampura Village: Two Including The Owner Died Due To Fire In A Cardboard Warehouse, The Adjacent Warehouse And Dairy Were Also Engulfed In Flames.

A massive fire broke out in a cardboard warehouse in Pitampura village of Delhi late on Monday night, in which two people including the warehouse owner were burnt to death. Three others sustained burn injuries. The fire spread so fast that it engulfed another nearby warehouse and dairy, due to which a calf also died.
