15 people were injured, of which five are in critical condition, in a clash between supporters of an independent MLA and BJD leader in Odisha's Jajpur district. The incident took place at the farmhouse of BJD leader Pranab Kumar Balabantray in Panturi of Jenapur police station area, in which several vehicles were also vandalized. The injured were first admitted to Dharamsala Community Health Center and later to SCB Medical College Hospital in Cuttack.

The situation is gradually returning to normal after the violence in Malkangiri district. As a precautionary measure, the ban on internet services has been extended till 12 noon on Monday. The district administration has taken this decision to stop rumours. There has been a loss of Rs 3.80 crore in the violence. Electricity and water supply has been restored in the affected areas. Six people have been arrested in connection with the violence.
