Weather Update: Entire Bihar Shivered Due To Cold Wave, Temperature Dropped By 5 Degrees; Cold Day And Dense Fog Warning

There are cold day like conditions in Bihar due to cold westerly wind and dense fog. There is no hope of relief from the harsh cold till January 1. Gaya was the coldest at 5.2 degrees Celsius, which is lower than Jammu. Aircraft and train operations have been affected. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of dense fog and cold day, due to which life is disrupted.

Corporation's Strictness On Stray Dogs In Bhagalpur: Sterilization Will Be Done, Agency Will Be Selected For Tender By January 2

Bhagalpur Municipal Corporation has started the Animal Birth Control ABC program to curb the increasing number of stray dogs and the incidents caused by them. Under this, sterilization, vaccination and treatment of dogs will be done. Tender has been issued for agency selection, the process of which will be completed by January 2. There are over 5000 stray dogs in the city, and this initiative is expected to reduce the incidents of dog bites.

Railway Time Table 2026: Time Table Of Many Trains Will Change From January 1, Vananchal Express Will Run Late By 45 Minutes.

There has been a change in the operating timings of trains from the new year i.e. 1st January. This decision has been taken for timely operation of trains and convenience of passengers. According to the CPRO of Eastern Railway, there has been a variation of 10 to 30 minutes. Vananchal Express will run late by 45 minutes, which will reduce the delay even in fog.

Bihar Board 12th Admit Card: Admit Card For Intermediate Practical Exam 2026 Released, Exam Will Be Held From 10-20 January

Bihar School Examination Board has released the admit cards for Intermediate Annual Practical Examination 2026. These examinations will be held from 10 to 20 January 2026 at the designated centres. Admit cards will be available on the committee's website till January 9. Admit cards have been issued only for the candidates appearing in the sent-up examination. Educational institutions will have to download the admit card using user ID and password and make it available to the students.

34 FIRs On Black Marketing Of Fertilizers In Bihar, 88 Licenses Cancelled; Agriculture Minister Said, 'Now Work Will Be Done In The Fields, Not In Files'

Agriculture Minister Ramkripal Yadav informed about strict action against black marketing and hoarding of fertilizers in Bihar. He said that till December 27, FIRs have been registered against 34 fertilizer establishments and licenses of 88 have been cancelled. The minister said that now the work will not be done in files, but in the fields, and those who loot farmers will not be spared. There is adequate availability of fertilizer in the state and the distribution is being monitored round the clock.

Patna: 1,257 Teachers Of The District Caught In Random Check, Not Making Online Presence.

In a random check by the Education Department in Patna, 1,257 teachers were found absent without registering their attendance online. The investigation was conducted on December 23 and 24, just before the Christmas holidays. Patna Sadar Urban has maximum 200 teachers. The department has directed to seek clarification from all the absent teachers and take action if satisfactory answers are not received.

Thawe Temple: After Stealing Mother's Jewellery, Izmamul Hid With His Girlfriend, Changed Locations Several Times.

Deepak Rai's associate Izmamul Alam was arrested by Gopalganj police after an encounter in the Thawe Temple jewelery theft case. After the theft, Izmamul was hiding with his girlfriend in Buxar and was changing locations several times. Police caught him from Jagmalwa village, where he was injured in the encounter. Farms in Munger and Bhagalpur will also benefit under the Rs 1800 crore Ganga Water Reclamation Scheme. 56 kilometer pipeline is being laid from Ajgaivinath Dham to Badua Dam.
