Groundwater Reserves Increased In Jharkhand, Challenge To Maintain Water Level In 2026
Efforts to conserve groundwater will intensify in Jharkhand in the new year. The drinking water sanitation department and local administration will focus on saving the water level in 2026. Water reserves have increased due to excessive monsoon rains, to maintain which deep boring in agriculture will have to be stopped. Emphasis will be laid on rain water harvesting, expansion of ponds and construction of kutcha check dams, so that the water level is maintained.
