Pesticide Poison Reaches Water Sources In Bhagalpur, Threat To The Existence Of Fishes

Chemical pesticides have now become a major threat to water sources, increasing the threat to the existence of aquatic organisms. Research by Tilkamanjhi Bhagalpur University has revealed that a pesticide called lambda-cyhalothrin is causing serious harm to freshwater fishes. It causes anemia, organ damage and weakened immune systems in fish, which can have adverse effects on the entire aquatic ecosystem and human health. There is a need to stop indiscriminate use and adopt organic alternatives.

Fear Of Fine Among E-rickshaw Drivers In This District Of Bihar, 450 Applied For License In One Month

After finalizing the routes of auto and e-rickshaw in Muzaffarpur, the police and transport department are conducting strict investigation. There is panic among e-rickshaw drivers due to fear of fine for operating without documents. Whereas earlier there were only five applications for license, now around 450 applications have been received in a month. However, many drivers are falling prey to brokers and paying Rs 5-7 thousand. DTO has advised to avoid brokers.

The Process Of Disciplinary Action In The State Is More Transparent And Fair, Chief Secretary Gave Training To The Officers

A high-level training session on disciplinary action procedure was organized in Patna under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Pratyaya Amrit. Its objective was to make the process transparent, legal and fair and to avoid errors. Director General Deepak Kumar Singh released a book on the master circular and related laws. In the session, emphasis was laid on following correct terminology and legal procedure during investigation, so that common mistakes can be avoided.

Highest Export Of Petroleum Products In Bihar, Meat And Corn Are Also In Demand In Foreign Countries.

Bihar has climbed three places to 16th position in the Export Readiness Index 2024. The state's gross domestic product stood at Rs 8.5 lakh crore, showing an annual growth of 11%. Petroleum products, meat and maize are the major exports, to which the Barauni Refinery and agriculture contribute significantly. The new export promotion policy and 'One District One Product' scheme are giving a boost to exports, due to which Bihar is making its mark in the economic scenario.

Bihar government has adopted 'zero tolerance' policy for speedy justice in POCSO sexual crimes against children. The Law Department has set strict deadlines for the police and prosecution. Now if the charge sheet is not filed within 60 days, the ADG Crime Investigation Department will be informed. The list of cases pending FSL report will also be sent to CID. Special Public Prosecutors have been given a target to dispose of 10 cases per month.
