In the Zilla Parishad meeting in Sitamarhi, members accused the Chairman of delay in payment and demanded an investigation. Schemes worth Rs 32 crore were approved, which include construction of PCC roads, passenger sheds, public toilets and sheds at cremation grounds. Members complained about commission-seeking and deliberate delays in the implementation of schemes.
Online applications for filing-rejecting or Parimarjan Plus in Buxar can now be made from the Common Service Center CSC of the zonal office. Fees prescribed by the government will have to be paid. CSC center was inaugurated in Sadar zonal office on Saturday. Here facilities like filing rejection, land surveyor, SMS alert, LPC application, and rent payment will be available. The fee for rejection of filing is Rs 40 per application.
Darbhanga police has arrested seven miscreants along with two kilos of silver jewelery stolen from a jewelery shop in Kiratpur market of Jamalpur police station area on December 12. Weapons have also been recovered from them. The arrested criminals are residents of Shahjahanpur and Hathras districts of Uttar Pradesh. The police is interrogating them and taking further action.
On the instructions of the government, the work of completing land acquisition for the remains and rehabilitation work of North Koel Reservoir Project in Guraru block is going on at a fast pace. 632 lands of 20 mouzas have been identified, out of which private lands of 486 ryots are to be acquired. Land ownership certificates have been issued to 357 ryots and payment of compensation has also started. The Rayats of Sareba and Diha are demanding compensation rate and change in the route of the canal.
BJP and JDU have agreed to acquire the illegal property acquired in the name of Lalu Prasad and his family by the government and use it in public interest. Satyam Kevat of Khagaria district died and two people were injured in a head-on collision between two bikes in Rasbagh of Belchhi police station area of Barh. Air Force jawan Adityashu Singh died in Manohar Basant village of Mirzapur Panchayat in Saran district of Bihar. Three-tier Panchayat elections in Bihar will be held with new technology. For the first time, the State Election Commission has decided to conduct Panchayat and Municipal Body elections through Multi-Post EVMs. Voting will be held for a total of six posts of Mukhiya, Sarpanch, Panch, Ward Member, Panchayat Samiti Member and Zilla Parishad Member through a single machine. The Commission has ordered to make more than 32 thousand multi-post EVMs. All the machines will reach the Commission by April 2026.
