Jamui-Jasidih Railway Section Was Infested By Mischievous Elements; Track Plates Were Removed; Questions Raised On Safety After Goods Train Accident

A goods train met with an accident in Lahaban of Jamui-Jasidih railway section, raising serious questions on the safety of the railway track. This accident has happened at a time when many incidents like cutting of tracks, opening of fish plates and recovery of explosives have come to light on this section. The Railway Department has not yet been able to ascertain the cause of the accident, but this incident raises questions on the functioning of the RPF and Railway Police.

Woman Going To Get Medicine For Her Son Dies In Road Accident, Condition Of Auto Driver Critical

In a tragic road accident on Surasand-Sitamarhi NH-227 in Sitamarhi, a female passenger traveling in an auto died on the spot, while the auto driver was seriously injured. Truck and auto collided near Suraghiya village. The deceased was going to Sitamarhi to get medicine for her son. Nepali liquor was also found in the auto, due to which the driver is suspected to be drunk. Police have seized both the vehicles and investigation is ongoing.

In the name of trolley work in SKMCH of Muzaffarpur, two women have been accused of cheating Rs 6 thousand each. The victim women, Saraswati Devi and Munni Devi, have accused Santosh Kumar Singh of the outsourcing agency of taking money on the pretext of providing them a job. The severe cold in Muzaffarpur has broken the record of 11 years. The maximum temperature recorded on Saturday was 13.9 degrees Celsius, the lowest since 2014. The temperature has dropped by more than 7 degrees in the last 48 hours. The Meteorological Department has predicted cold day conditions and further decline in temperature for the next four days. Dense fog and westerly winds are affecting life, causing problems to traffic and passengers. Farmers have been advised to maintain the moisture of crops.

Railway Time Table 2026: Time Table Of Many Trains Will Change From January 1, Vananchal Express Will Run Late By 45 Minutes.

Bihar School Examination Board has released the admit cards for Intermediate Annual Practical Examination 2026. These examinations will be held from 10 to 20 January 2026 at the designated centres. 34 FIRs On Black Marketing Of Fertilizers In Bihar, 88 Licenses Cancelled; Agriculture Minister Said, 'Now Work Will Be Done In The Fields, Not In Files'

Agriculture Minister Ramkripal Yadav informed about strict action against black marketing and hoarding of fertilizers in Bihar. He said that till December 27, FIRs have been registered against 34 fertilizer establishments and licenses of 88 have been cancelled. The minister said that now the work will not be done in files, but in the fields, and those who loot farmers will not be spared. There is adequate availability of fertilizer in the state and the distribution is being monitored round the clock.

Patna: 1,257 Teachers Of The District Caught In Random Check, Not Making Online Presence.

In a random check by the Education Department in Patna, 1,257 teachers were found absent without registering their attendance online. The investigation was conducted on December 23 and 24, just before the Christmas holidays. Patna Sadar Urban has maximum 200 teachers. Thawe Temple: After Stealing Mother's Jewellery, Izmamul Hid With His Girlfriend, Changed Locations Several Times.

Deepak Rai's associate Izmamul Alam was arrested by Gopalganj police after an encounter in the Thawe Temple jewelery theft case.
