The body of a woman named Riya Chaudhary, 27, was found hanging in a flat in Mukherjee Nagar on the evening of 31 December. Riya, a resident of Mathura, was married and was living separately from her husband for three years. She had stayed in a friend's room for three days. When the friend went to Mathura, on his request, another friend opened the room and found Riya hanging. Police are investigating from both suicide and murder angles.
