The youth in the national capital Delhi-NCR welcomed the New Year 2026 with full enthusiasm. Hotels, restaurants and malls were buzzing with youth. A huge crowd gathered in Hauz Khas Village, Mehrauli and Chhatarpur, where people celebrated by dancing, singing and bursting fireworks. Police were deployed at every nook and corner for security and traffic routes were also diverted.

Warning For Those Visiting Khatu Shyam Temple In Delhi On New Year, Traffic Police Issued Advisory; See New Path

There is a possibility of a huge crowd of devotees at Khatu Shyam Dilli Dham Temple on New Year's Day. In view of this, the traffic police has issued an advisory warning of jam in North Delhi. Commuters have been advised to avoid the stretch of NH-44 from Singhu Border to Mukarba Chowk and use alternative routes such as UER-II and Palla-Bakhtawarpur Road. Consumers have got relief from the change in pipeline tariff of Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board PNGRB.
