Slums were removed 10 times this year, but due to the alleged collusion of mafia and local officials, 8000 people have resettled again. These people are from UP, Bihar and Bengal, who do farming and labour. DDA has again assured action.
Kabin Kumar, a 16-year-old student, died after falling from a fiber shed 50 feet above a closed mall in Delhi's Model Town. According to the police, he had climbed onto the shed with friends to make a reel, which broke. However, the victim's family is suspecting friends of pushing them as they fled after the accident. Police have registered the case and started investigation and are interrogating friends.

Delhi government will hand over keys of flats to 6,476 poor families in Savda Ghevra in the new year. For this, Rs 27.50 crore has been sanctioned for the repair of 2500 vacant flats. Delhi High Court has issued an interim injunction against 18 entities for misusing Akasa Air's trademark and committing job fraud. A bench of Justice Manmeet Pritam Singh Arora passed the order on a suit filed by SNV Aviation Pvt Ltd, which operates Akasa Air. The court termed these acts as impersonation and fraud, which could have caused irreparable harm to the company. The next hearing will be on 22 May 2026.
Delhi Development Authority DDA has launched Janta Awas Yojana 2025 for the economically weaker section. Delhi government will operate 11 under-construction hospitals on PPP model, including seven hospitals with 6836 beds. Work is stuck in Sarita Vihar Hospital due to parking dispute. These hospitals will increase 10,073 beds and 4,314 ICU beds. 42,000 medical staff will be required and Rs 9,000 crore will be spent. The government is conducting a detailed feasibility study so that the health infrastructure can be expanded.
Two friends Sahil and Sohail fought with each other over smoking cigarettes in Dayalpur area of East Delhi.
