The court of Additional Justice AK Tiwari has sentenced three Maoists, Samuel Hassa, Chambra Munda and Birsa Munda, to 10 years imprisonment each in the case of firing on police. A fine of Rs 42-42 thousand was also imposed on all three. The incident took place in Sogod village of Namkum, where they were demanding levy from the road contractor. One Maoist was injured in police retaliatory action, after which all three were arrested.

JAC Board: 8th, 9th And 11th Examinations Will Start In February, Questions Will Be Asked On OMR Sheets.

Jharkhand Academic Council JAC has released the detailed schedule of annual examinations of classes 8th, 9th and 11th for the academic session 2025-26. These examinations will be held in February 2026 on OMR sheets. The exams for class 8th will start on 24th February, for class 9th from 28th February and for class 11th from 25th February. Students will get additional 15 minutes to read the question paper. Instructions have been given to download the admit card on time.
