The victim told that Vishal from Rohtak had threatened her after their friendship broke. The accused also spread the material by creating a fake email ID. More than 7 lakh names have been removed from the voter list under the special intensive revision campaign SIR in Bareilly. Out of total 34 lakh voters, forms of 26.89 lakh voters were digitized. 1.15 lakh deceased and 2.92 lakh shifted voters were left out of the list. The provisional list will be published on 31st December, on which claims can be made till 21st February.

Railways has increased the fares of major trains running from Meerut. There has been an increase of Rs 10 to 20 in trains like Vande Bharat, Shalimar, Nauchandi, Ujjaini and Yoga Express. Vande Bharat chair car fare from Meerut to Ayodhya is now Rs 1615 and executive fare is Rs 2915. Daily commuters are relieved by no increase in fares on short distances, but have expressed concern over the delay in shuttle trains.

After the death of a 70-year-old boy, there was a dispute over the burial of the dead body in the entire Nevaji village of Pratapgarh. The people claiming ownership protested against the burial on the joint account land, after which the police and administration intervened. The body was buried in the cemetery after about 50 hours. According to the police, there is peace in the village.
An auto driver from Dankaur has sought help from the police, alleging that his wife and her lover are threatening to kill him. The victim says that he is not able to work due to his lover's constant threats over the phone. The father of five children had stopped his wife from going to job after finding out about her affair. The police have registered a complaint and assured legal action.
Teams from the government conducted surprise inspection of government hospitals in Bareilly. Widespread disturbances were found in the District, Women and 300 Bed Hospital. Oxygen plant, X-ray and CBC machines worth crores in three hundred bed hospital were found faulty. Officials also expressed displeasure over shortage of staff, filth and incidents of theft.
