In PD Nagar of Sadar area of Unnao, an elder brother stabbed younger brother Satyam Soni to death after a fight. Satyam was mentally ill and often quarreled. As the dispute escalated, elder brother Shivam stabbed him in anger. Satyam was taken to the hospital, where he was declared dead. Police have registered the case and started searching for accused Shivam.
Political turmoil has intensified due to the removal of 12 lakh voters from the voter list of Lucknow after special intensive revision. There has been a decrease of 35-40 voters in urban seats, due to which BJP, SP and Congress are all worried. Low digitization and voter apathy are being cited as the reasons for this. Opposition parties are accusing the Commission of arbitrariness, while BJP is also worried about the withdrawal of voters in its support base areas.

Due to dense fog, a bike collided with a helpless animal on the Agra-Moradabad highway, due to which Karru and Neeraj, residents of Udaybhanpur, Gunnaur, were seriously injured. The ambulance arrived on information and took the injured to Gunnaur CHC. After first aid, Karru was referred to a higher center, while Neeraj's treatment is ongoing. Local people have demanded action against the stray animals roaming on the highway as the reason for the accidents.
The Excise Department raided a composite liquor shop in Digner Shamshabad, Agra. 33 pavas of adulterated liquor and 13 fake lids were recovered from here. Two passenger buses collided head-on on Saturday morning at Katra bypass in Shravasti. Power supply has started at six out of seven stations on Corridor-1 of Kanpur Metro from Kanpur Central to Naubasta. With the preparation of the sub-station, testing of metro trains and operation of various systems installed at the stations like TVS, ECS, AFC, lifts and escalators will be done faster. On Friday, an ambulance caught fire while illegally filling CNG cylinder with domestic gas in Gumnawara, Jhansi. Railways will implement the new timetable from January 1, 2026, due to which there will be revision in the arrival-departure timing of many passenger trains of Varanasi and Izzatnagar divisions including Gorakhpur Junction. There is a possible change of 5-10 minutes in the timing of about 27 trains passing through Gorakhpur.
