STF of Motihari Police Headquarters has taken major action on the India-Nepal border and arrested two Nepali fake currency smugglers. In this action taken in Pantoka Panchayat area of Raxaul, fake Indian currency worth ₹ 18,500, mobile and passport were recovered. According to the police, these smugglers used to smuggle fake notes into India from Pakistan via Nepal. Further investigation is underway and other members are being searched.
Bihar Board Intermediate Annual Examination will be held from February 2 to February 13 at 1762 centres, in which more than 13 lakh students will appear. 73,963 candidates will appear at 84 centers in Patna. Fraud by three private educational institutions has been exposed in Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme. Gaya's Vivekananda Paramedical, Magadh Paramedical and Lakhisarai's Baba Rajaram College are accused of providing education loans to students more than the prescribed seats. Officer-in-charge Naseem Ahmed has asked the directors of the institutions to submit evidence within a week, otherwise an FIR will be registered and de-recognition will be recommended.

Shailendra Kumar Karna, a school teacher resident of Kankarbagh, Patna, died under suspicious circumstances in Gurugram. His body was found on a chair in the classroom of Angel Children's Academy, with a bullet wound in the head and a pistol was also found nearby. A doctor couple died on the spot in a horrific road accident on Saturday morning near Sarai Toll Plaza on Hajipur-Muzaffarpur NH-22. Patna resident Dr. Jitendra Prasad and his wife lost their lives in the collision between a car and a truck, while the driver is seriously injured. The couple were going from Araria to Patna. Bihar Board has released new rules for Intermediate Exam 2026. Students will get unique ID code and will be given extra 15 minutes to read the question paper. The exam will have 50 objective questions with 100 additional options. Disabled students will get the facility of scribe and extra time. To prevent malpractices, mobile phones will be banned and 84 centers have been created in Patna.
