Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has directed to form a new committee to re-investigate the doctor-patient assault case in IGMC Shimla. Meteorological Center Shimla has issued a warning of dense fog in seven districts of Himachal Pradesh. Orange alert is for Bilaspur, while yellow alert is for Una, Mandi, Kangra, Hamirpur, Solan and Sirmaur. Maximum and minimum temperature forecast for Shimla, Una and Kangra for December 29 and 30 has also been given. People have been advised to remain alert.

A case of fraud has been registered against 9 officers and employees including former managing director Vinod Kumar in an old hotel loan case of Kangra Central Co-operative Bank KCCB in Una district. Complainant Yudh Chand Bains has alleged that bank officials tampered with loan records, missing important documents and deliberately undervalued his property, causing financial loss to him. The loan was wrongly declared as NPA. Police is investigating.

The villagers of Jawali have expressed anger against the increasing illegal activities in the Pong Dam Wildlife Sanctuary and cruelty against the helpless cattle. Major action has been taken against violation of Motor Vehicles Act in Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh. The Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate imposed a total fine of Rs 7,66,650 on eight habitual motorists. Rohit Arora fined over Rs 3 lakh for 101 challans. The driving licenses of the culprits have been disqualified for 3 to 6 months.

There was a fatal attack on the driver-conductor of HRTC bus in Kharahan of Rampur Bushahr. A drunk man forcibly stopped the bus and tried to kill the driver with an axe. A dispute had started regarding removing the vehicle from the road. Himachal Transport Mazdoor Sangh protested and decided not to run buses on the Rampur-Kholighat route until the accused is arrested. The police have registered the case.
