Elephant Havoc In Gomiya: Three Including Husband And Wife Died, Panic In The Village

Three people, including husband and wife, of the same family died in an elephant attack in Badki Pannu village of Gomiya block of Bermo. A herd of five elephants entered the village at around 3 o'clock on Wednesday night, causing chaos. While trying to save their lives, Gangava Karmali, his wife Kamali Devi and sister-in-law Bhagiya Devi became victims of elephants. Another person is injured. The villagers have demanded the forest department to drive away the elephants and demand compensation.

Three Criminals Who Stole Luggage Of Train Driver In Maurya Express Arrested, Two Absconding

RPF and CIB have arrested three members of the gang who stole goods worth lakhs from the family of a train driver in the Maurya Express going from Gorakhpur to Sambalpur. Two companions escaped taking advantage of the darkness. The criminals arrested include Mohammad Sultan Ansari, Lallu Dom and Imran Ansari. Stolen goods worth more than Rs 1.5 lakh have been recovered from them. This gang has also been involved in many other incidents in Dhanbad.

Dhanbad-Chandrapura Rail Route Overhead Wire Trips, Rajdhani Trains Including Intercity Delayed By Hours

Trains stopped due to overhead equipment OHE trip between Kusunda-Katras on Dhanbad-Chandrapura railway route. Dhanbad-Ranchi intercity was delayed by two and a half hours. Due to Magh Mela in Prayagraj, New Delhi-Howrah Rajdhani Express also reached Dhanbad late by more than eight and a half hours, due to which the railway service was affected. On the last day of Jharkhand municipal elections, 2,588 candidates filed nominations in 48 municipal corporations. Of these, 275 were for mayor-president and 2,313 for ward councillor. A total of 6,979 nominations were received, of which 3,462 are women. Scrutiny of nomination papers will take place on Thursday, and election symbols will be allotted on February 7.

JPSC Released Food Safety Officer Exam Results, 149 Candidates Successful For 56 Posts.

Jharkhand Public Service Commission JPSC has released the result of written examination for the post of Food Safety Officer. 149 candidates have been declared successful in this examination conducted for 56 posts. These candidates will now appear in the interview for 30 marks. The final merit list will be made on the basis of written examination and interview marks. The Commission had taken the examination on 27th May.
