Expenditure Limit Fixed In Jharkhand Municipal Elections, Candidates Will Have To Give Complete Details

The State Election Commission has fixed the maximum limit on election expenditure of candidates for municipal elections. In Sahibganj Municipal Council, presidential candidates will be able to spend up to Rs 6 lakh and ward councilors will be able to spend up to Rs 1.5 lakh. In Barhadwa and Rajmahal Nagar Panchayat, the president will be able to spend up to Rs 5 lakh and the ward councilor will be able to spend up to Rs 1 lakh. Candidates will have to give details of expenditure from nomination till result, otherwise they may be disqualified.

Koderma's POCSO court has sentenced two culprits in the case of rape by befriending a minor. Akram Khan has been given 25 years of rigorous imprisonment and Neeraj Kumar has been given 20 years of rigorous imprisonment. A fine was also imposed on both of them, which will be paid to the victim. The court also ordered to pay compensation to the victim. This case was registered in 2024.

Overhead Wire Damaged On Dhanbad-Gaya Railway Route...Most Trains Including Netaji, Mumbai Mail, Jodhpur And Doon Got Stuck For Hours.

Many trains remained stuck for hours due to technical fault in overhead wire on Dhanbad-Gaya railway route. Major trains like Netaji Express, Mumbai Mail, Jodhpur Express and Doon Express remained halted at various stations including Koderma, causing inconvenience to passengers. Railway workers restored service after repairs. This is the second incident in two days, before this a similar problem had occurred on the Dhanbad-Chandrapura route.
