Chandigarh State Consumer Commission has found Ghazal Restaurant in Sector-17 guilty of charging more than the MRP on mineral water. The restaurant sold a bottle of Rs 20 for Rs 55 and also charged GST on it. The commission directed the restaurant to return the extra amount and pay a compensation of Rs 3000. The Commission clarified that restaurants cannot charge more than the MRP on packaged products.
