Punjab and Haryana High Court granted six weeks interim bail to the NDPS Act accused. Justice Sanjay Vashishtha gave this decision in view of the recent birth of the child of the accused's wife and the need for post-natal care. The court gave this relief on humanitarian grounds, although there is an allegation that 1.12 lakh Tramadol tablets were recovered from the accused. For bail, a bank guarantee of Rs 5 lakh will have to be deposited.

Firozpur: Dogs Mauled The Life Of A Person Returning After Celebrating Lohri, People In Panic After Finding Dead Body In The Fields.

26-year-old Kulbir Singh, who was returning from Lohri party in Chak Somian village of Guruharsahay, died in an attack by stray dogs. His body was found soaked in blood in the field. There is panic in the village due to this incident and questions are being raised on the functioning of the administration. Dog bite cases are continuously increasing in Firozpur district, and the sterilization campaign has also come to a standstill, causing anger among the villagers.

Muktsar: Mother And Two And A Half Year Old Girl Died After Their Car Fell Into The Canal, Driver's Life Saved After Getting Stuck In A Bush.

A car fell into a canal in Alamwala village of Muktsar, causing drowning of a mother and her two and a half year old daughter. The driver escaped by opening the window and was pulled out by the local people. Thieves Entered Jewelery Shop In Jalandhar By Cutting The Grill Of Skylight, Stole Rs 16 Lakh

Theft worth lakhs took place in Lakshmi Jewelers located in Main Bazaar of Adampur. The thieves entered the shop by cutting the grill of the skylight on the fourth floor.
