Questions have been raised regarding alleged irregularities in tenders and allocation of works in Moradabad Development Authority MDA. Rs 13 lakh are being paid every month to a private agency whose functioning is in doubt. There are also allegations of favoring favorites in contracts for road construction and housing schemes. The Chief Engineer of MDA has denied the allegations and described the online tender process as transparent.

From Meerut South To Siwalkhas... SIR Notices Will Be Issued From January 6, 269 Officers Deployed

Under the special revision program of voter lists in Meerut, notices will be issued to 2.84 lakh voters who did not submit details of the 2003 list. The Election Commission of India has deployed 269 Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs) to hear them. These officers will hear 26,900 notices every day. Draft voter list will be released on January 6 and new voters can apply online.

Uttar Pradesh Cooperative Gram Vikas Bank Limited is being digitized. With the financial support of NABARD, computers, internet and furniture will be provided in about 400 branches of the state. From April 2026, farmers will easily get loans and financial services through digital mediums. Rs 8-9 crore will be spent on this, which will increase transparency and reduce fraud. Farmers will be able to apply through mobile app, so that they will not have to visit the bank.
