Preparations for Chas Municipal Corporation elections have intensified. Ward wise reservation list of municipal bodies is being released. Reservation list has been released for 35 wards of Chas Municipal Corporation, in which 15 wards are reserved for women. Ward number one is reserved for extremely backward class.

Wild elephants continue to rampage in West Bokaro OP area of Ramgarh, where they damaged several houses and killed four people. The angry villagers blocked the road demanding compensation and security, after which the Forest Department paid Rs 25,000 each to the dependents of the deceased and assured to give the remaining compensation soon.
Police has arrested bank employee Shatrughan Kumar Choudhary in the case of gold worth Rs 30 lakh missing from the locker of Bank of Baroda in Mango, Jamshedpur. The court had issued an arrest warrant. The accused has been sent to judicial custody, but the gold has not been recovered yet. The bank had lodged an FIR of theft against unknown persons.
A three-day IDE Bootcamp was started at Arka Jain University, Jamshedpur. The objective of the program is to promote innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship in school education. The program highlighted the objectives of the National Education Policy 2020. Six minor children from Jamshedpur and Kolhan areas in Sambalpur were rescued from child labour. RPF Sambalpur offloaded these children from Ernakulam Express, which were being taken to Vijayawada. The children have been handed over to the Child Welfare Committee. During interrogation, it was revealed that they were being taken to work in fish farming and shipping mills. Action was taken on the information of 'Save Childhood Team'.

Consumer Commission orders insurance company to pay Rs 2.75 lakh for rejecting mediclaim claim in West Singhbhum. The case was filed against the denial of claim by the insurance company. The Consumer Commission held that the company wrongly rejected the claim, causing mental and financial distress to the consumer. Therefore, the Commission ordered the company to make the payment.
A businessman cum LJP leader in Chatra, Jharkhand received a call from Dubai in the name of Prince Khan, in which an extortion money of Rs 2 crore was demanded. Threats of death have been made if the money is not paid. Police are investigating the matter and security is being provided to the businessman.

A person was murdered by slitting his throat in a personal dispute in Kotorogada village of Goilkera police station area of West Singhbhum district. The deceased has been identified as Harinath Lugun. Police have detained three people and are interrogating them. The incident took place in a Naxal affected area, due to which there was a delay in receiving information.
The year 2026 will start with the organization of Jharkhand Secondary Teachers Combined Competitive Examination-2025 for appointment to the posts of Secondary Teachers. The Commission has canceled 26,301 applications in the online application as the fee was not paid or photo and signature were not uploaded. Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission has assured the High Court to complete the appointment process by January 2026.
