A woman gave birth to a child while traveling in Vaishali Express in Bulandshahr. Nibha Devi, who was going to visit relatives in Ghaziabad, suffered labor pain ahead of Aligarh. After stopping the train at Khurja Junction, the mother and child were admitted to the Government Women's Hospital Khurja by ambulance. The condition of both mother and newborn baby is now stable.
The work of special summary review SIR has been completed in Badaun district. For four days, BLO and BLA searched for ASD voters, but no objection or claim was registered. Now the provisional voter list will be published on Tuesday, in which names of 4.94 lakh voters will be removed. These include deceased, absentee, transferred and duplicate voters.

In Indirapuram, Ghaziabad, two swindlers, posing as travel company agents, cheated 13 people of Rs 78.71 lakh. The accused took money from the victims on the pretext of attractive offers on air tickets and tour packages, but neither provided services nor returned the amount. Police have registered a case against Satyam Shukla and Harshit Shukla, whose search is on. The accused have already gone to jail in fraud cases.

Vikas Gupta, the criminal who attacked a woman and her children with a knife and snatched a goat on January 3 in Ajgain, Unnao, was shot in a police encounter. In the encounter that took place on Monday night, Vikas was shot in his right leg, while his two companions Lakshmi Narayan and Sanjay Rawat were chased and caught by the police. Dankaur police has arrested a person named Pradeep of Chachula village for misusing dial 112 number. The accused harassed the police by making false calls 143 times in about a month, wasting resources and time of emergency services.
