CM Dhami Took Big Action In Home Guard Uniform Scam, Suspended DIG; Ordered Investigation

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has suspended Director Amitabh Srivastava in the Home Guards uniform purchase scam. This action came after allegations of financial irregularities came to light in the tender process for purchasing uniform material for 2024-25 and 2025-26. On the report of the Director General, the CM has also given instructions to constitute an inquiry committee. Dhami has reiterated the policy of zero tolerance towards corruption.

Snowfall Photos: Mountains Of Pithoragarh Drenched In Snowfall, Amazing View Of Himalayas Covered With Snow Cover.

Pithoragarh and higher Himalayan regions received the first snowfall of the season on Friday. The peaks of Munsiyari, Chandak, Chaukodi and Thalekdar were covered with snow. Darma-Vyas of Dharchula also received heavy snowfall, due to which a sharp drop in temperature was recorded. The minimum temperature in Munsiyari reached -2 degrees Celsius. Life has been affected due to snowfall and there is a possibility of closure of the land-Munsiyari road.

Citizens, tourists and pilgrims have been appealed to avoid unnecessary travel and follow the instructions of the administration.

Cardiologists at Graphic Era Hospital, Dehradun successfully replaced a defective heart valve of a 76-year-old woman without any incision or open surgery. The woman had severe heart failure and had previously had a valve replacement. The new valve was implanted through a vein in the leg using a state-of-the-art technique called the 'Lampoon Procedure'.
