A Xylo car hit three e-rickshaws on NH-333A in Shekhpura late Thursday evening, injuring 18 people. Of these, the condition of five is critical and two have been referred to Patna. Bhagalpur Municipal Corporation will open four new petrol pumps in the city, the first of which will be in Tatarpur godown. Along with petrol, diesel, e-charging and CNG facilities will also be available at these pumps. Industries Minister Dilip Jaiswal assured the Legislative Council that grain-based ethanol plants will not be closed in Bihar. The government will make arrangements for the sale of ethanol and will also increase the quota. The Panchayati Raj Department has directed to remove the head of Sahuria Subhay Milik Panchayat of Purnia from the post if he is found guilty of embezzlement of 15th Central Finance Commission funds. The Second Appellate Authority has also held retired Panchayat Secretary Ashok Kumar Rai equally guilty. On Thursday, while overtaking on SH-56 in Sonki police station area of Darbhanga, a bus hit the tempo coming from the front. In this horrific accident, tempo driver Zaki Ahmed and passenger Ganga Safi died on the spot. According to eyewitnesses, two buses were trying to overtake each other at high speed. There was a sensation when a bullet-ridden body of a youth was found in a car near Mahatma Gandhi Bridge in Hajipur. Gangabridge police station reached the spot, but the body could not be identified. Serious irregularities have come to light in the construction of the road from SH 91 to Gorpar Muslim Tola in Gamail Panchayat of Bihariganj block of Madhepura. Within 24 hours, the police revealed the murder of a woman after rape in Roh police station area of Nawada. In this incident that took place in Samraitha village, the police arrested two main accused and detained a minor. The accused have confessed to mutual dispute and rape.
