Kamlesh alias Kallu was murdered by crushing his face with a brick in the Panchayat building of Rawatpur village in Alhaganj, Shahjahanpur. His body was found in the verandah on Saturday morning. Kamlesh had left home after having dinner on Friday night. He used to work as a laborer at a brick kiln. The father has denied any enmity.
There has been a massive traffic jam on the Renukoot-Bijpur road in Sonbhadra for more than 20 hours. In Hasanpur, three unemployed youth were cheated of Rs 10.70 lakh in the name of getting them government jobs. The fraudsters gave fake appointment letters of Jal Nigam, Social Welfare and Income Tax Department. When the victims investigated in the concerned departments, it was found that all the letters were fake. On the orders of the CO, the police have registered an FIR and started investigating the case.
In Mathura, maximum 234 driving licenses have been suspended for violation of traffic rules, while Agra is at second place with 136 DLs. RTO and police suspended a total of 537 DLs in one year. Two people were attacked and killed with knives and stones over a dispute over food at Vaishno Dhaba in Khoda's paper market. One person has also been injured in this incident. Gorakhpur Industrial Development Authority GIDA has issued final notice to 18 allottees who did not set up industries despite being allotted land years ago. In Belipar, Gorakhpur, the police tried to stop three miscreants riding a bike, on which they opened fire. In retaliation, the police laid siege and arrested all three.
