Lightning Arresters Installed At 80 Sensitive Places In Mirzapur, Number Of Deaths Due To Lightning Reduced

Yogi government has succeeded in reducing the deaths due to lightning in Mirzapur by 50. Under the 'Lightning Resiliency' model, 80 lightning arresters were installed at sensitive locations. 'Lightning hotspots' were identified through scientific studies and extensive awareness campaigns were conducted. Through training and use of 'Damini' app, people were given information to stay safe, due to which loss of life and property was minimized.

38 year old Shikshamitra Shrikanti was shot dead by unknown miscreants in Gokulpur village of Asoha area of Unnao. Srikanti, who came out of the house for a short time, was shot, due to which she died on the spot. Husband Omkar has filed a case against unknown people. The forensic team including the SP inspected the spot. There is suspicion of murder due to the husband's spendthrift nature and disputes.

Six months after its inauguration by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, 'Naya Savera Phase-02' of Ramgarhtal Beautification Project has been transferred to GDA. This 2700 meter long Tal Front, developed at a cost of Rs 35.43 crore, will now provide a new place for stroll and relaxation to the city residents. Even a year ago, a case of exploitation of minors and organized prostitution had come to light in Gorakhpur. This network was exposed with the recovery of a 13-year-old girl on January 2, 2025. The gang used to trap girls and force them into prostitution through internet media. Police raided Hotel Fly-In and Genus Batal Hookah Bar and arrested 15 accused, including kingpin Anirudh Ojha. Pure Water Will Soon Reach The Villages Of UP, Work On 40 Thousand Drinking Water Schemes In The Final Phase.

More than 40 thousand rural drinking water schemes are in the final stage under Jal Jeevan Mission in Uttar Pradesh. Jal Shakti Minister Swatantra Dev Singh said that now more than 85 rural families are getting pure drinking water from tap, which was only 1.93 in 2019. Work has been completed in Bundelkhand and Vindhya. The cost of operation and maintenance of the schemes will be borne by the state government, and 80 schemes are solar energy based.
