Several members of a family in Sambhal's Asmoli police station area fell ill after eating cakes purchased from a bakery. Victim Vivek Chauhan alleged that the bakery operator located in Madhan village sold old cake, due to which his family complained of vomiting and diarrhea. Liquor sales broke all records during New Year celebrations in Agra. Liquor worth Rs 18 crore was sold in 72 hours, of which the highest sale of Rs 7.5 crore was made on December 31. The Excise Department received 20 percent more revenue than last year. Sales of English liquor and beer stood at 65, while country liquor sold 35.
Due to a domestic dispute in Kundadih village of Mayorpur police station area of Sonbhadra, a woman killed her brother-in-law Anil by beating him with the cot bed. The mental condition of deceased Anil was not good. Taking prompt action, the police arrested the accused woman Saroj Devi, registered a case of culpable homicide and sent her to jail. The incident took place late on Wednesday evening.
Investigation has intensified in the case of delivery in the gallery of Badaun Women's Hospital. The three-member committee formed by DM, CDO, ADM FR, CMO reached the hospital and recorded the statements of the employees on duty and analyzed the CCTV footage. Negligence has come to light in the incident that took place on the night of 22 December, in which an infant died. Testing of Agra Metro will now take place every two days from Mankameshwar station to ISBT station. This process will last for three weeks, after which testing will be done daily at speeds ranging from 5 to 90 kmph. The UPMRC team examined the 6 km long track, which includes four underground and one elevated station. Downline testing will begin in late January.
A woman named Sundari Devi died while eight other villagers were injured in a tragic road accident in Birdpur, Siddharthnagar on Wednesday night. A speeding car hit him. A horrific road accident took place near the Rotary Roundabout on Ghaziabad Elevated Road on Thursday morning. The speeding car hit a standing Municipal Corporation water tanker, causing the car to overturn several times and turn upside down. A speeding bike collided with a tree in Dohrighat police station area of Mau on Wednesday evening. CMO has issued instructions to ban the entry of stray dogs in government hospitals of Bulandshahr.
