Rural women of Dehradun are becoming financially empowered by making herbal colors this Holi. Women of Sahaspur and Raipur have prepared two and a half quintals of natural colors, which are made from elements like tesu, beetroot and turmeric. These colors are safe, economical and eco-friendly, due to which they are in great demand in the local market. This is a successful example of the 'Vocal for Local' campaign, which is making women self-reliant.

Mahashivratri: Have Darshan Of The Swayambhu Shivalinga At Tungeshwar Mahadev Temple, The Center Of Faith Of 16 Villages Of Uttarakhand.

Tungeshwar Mahadev Temple of Rudraprayag has special significance on Mahashivratri. Situated in the Himalayan valleys, this temple is the center of faith of 16 villages. Here one can see the Swayambhu Shivalinga, which is believed to be related to the period before Adi Shankaracharya. Statues of many gods and goddesses are installed in this temple built in South Indian style. On Mahashivratri, a large number of devotees come to perform Jalabhishek and Rudrabhishek.

Mahashivratri Today, Devotees Immersed In The Devotion Of Bhole From Midnight In Uttarakhand, Shiva Temples Echoed With Cheers.

Mahashivratri is being celebrated with devotion today in Dehradun. Shri Tapkeshwar Mahadev, Prithvinath Mahadev and other Shiva temples are decorated with flowers and colorful lights. Devotees are performing Jalabhishek from midnight. Rudrabhishek, special offering and anointment with Ganga water was done in the temples. Shiv procession took place in Premnagar, while a 15-day fair started in Tapkeshwar. The markets remained vibrant with the purchase of puja materials and fruits, although the prices of fruits increased.

Uttarakhand Police Will Be Arrested For Not Searching, Arresting Or Surrendering Nine People Of The Same Family.

Police are searching for nine absconding accused of the same family who pelted stones on information about smack smuggling in Rudrapur. The head constable was injured in the attack on the Anti Narcotics Task Force on February 1. The police had issued a non-bailable warrant and applied to the court for attachment action, after which the court has issued Proclamation 82. If arrest is not made the property will be confiscated soon.

ED Action In Case Of Registry Fraud Of ₹100 Crore, Charge Sheet Filed In Court Against 3 Accused

ED has arrested three accused in the Dehradun registry fraud and money laundering case of Rs 100 crore - Humayun Parvez, Mohd. Chargesheet has been filed against the lawyer and Mukesh Kumar Gupta in the special PMLA court. They are accused of illegally selling land and earning crores of rupees by manipulating land records. The investigation has revealed transfer of property in the name of deceased relatives and use of fake documents. ED has also seized cash and jewelery in the raid.

Garhwal MP Anil Baluni said that the Laldhang-Chillarkhal Road Project has got a big relief from the Supreme Court.
