CM Dhami Spoke On Phone To The Father Of Tripura Student, Assured To Give Strict Punishment To The Accused Of Murdering His Son.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami spoke on phone to Tarun Prasad Chakma, father of Tripura student Ingel Chakma. Expressing grief over the murder of Ingel, he said that five accused have been arrested and efforts are on to nab one absconding accused. The Chief Minister assured the family of strict punishment and all possible assistance. He said that the Uttarakhand government stands with the victim's family.

Fog Hits! 5 Trains Cancelled, Many Trains Including Kumbh Express Reached Haridwar Late By 1 To 10 Hours

Due to fog, the movement of trains at Laksar Railway Station in Haridwar has been affected. Five trains were canceled on Sunday, while several other trains were delayed by one to 10 hours. Kumbh Express was delayed by 12 hours. Passengers faced a lot of trouble as dense fog remained throughout the day.

Protests against forest land survey in Rishikesh began on Friday and turned into stone pelting by Sunday. E-rickshaw Driver Murdered Due To Rivalry, Police Arrested Two Accused

Police have arrested two rickshaw pullers, Bhuvanesh alias Joni and Nathiram, in connection with the murder of e-rickshaw driver Deepak, who was found dead on December 24 in Lachchiwala, Doiwala. The wife of the deceased had filed a case in Raipur police station. The accused told during interrogation that they had an old enmity with Deepak regarding the passengers, due to which they took him to Lachhiwala and killed him. Police have also seized the e-rickshaw used in the incident.

A decision will be taken on January 2 on the suspension of two senior IAS officers suspended in the Haridwar Municipal Corporation land case. Both The Accused Who Shot At Gangster Vinay Tyagi Were Presented In Court, Sent To Haridwar Jail.

Sunny Yadav and Ajay, arrested for shooting at gangster Vinay Tyagi in Luxor, were presented in the court on Friday. Due to security reasons, he was sent to Haridwar jail instead of Roorkee. ITBP Is Responsible For The Security Of Kedarnath, Currently 30 Soldiers Are Deployed In The Dham.

About 30 Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) personnel have been deployed for winter security of Kedarnath Dham. Along with them, five Uttarakhand policemen are also serving. This annual deployment has been done to ensure the safety of the Dham despite snowfall and extreme cold. District Disaster Management Officer Nandan Singh Rajwar said that ITBP will handle the security and surveillance from the time the doors are closed till they open.
