Strict action has been taken against six senior students in the ragging case at SSJ Government Medical Sciences and Research Institute, Almora. A painful road accident took place on National Highway 309B in Badechhina area of Almora on Saturday. A scooter rider died on the spot after being hit by a speeding truck. High school and intermediate examinations of Uttarakhand Board are starting from 21st February. Examination arrangements were reviewed in the meeting held in Ramnagar. The examination will be held at a total of 1261 centres, in which observers will be deployed at sensitive and hypersensitive centres. Emphasis was laid on ensuring cheating-free examination. 29 centers have been created for evaluation of copies after the examination, which includes 13 centers in Kumaon and 16 centers in Garhwal.
